FS Rodeo 540.
FSロデオ540
フロントサイドの斜め後方回転540
How to
Step by stepRequired: wear a helmet and back protector.
Build the rotation and landing feel on an airbag first, then move to the kicker. As prerequisites, you should be able to throw both a backflip and an FS360 without thinking about them
Take the same approach line as an FS360, entering the lip at a slight angle.
Stay low with knees softly bent, keep your upper body facing the direction of travel, hold the rotation back for now, and keep your weight stacked directly over the board
Just before the lip, snap your bent knees and hips open to pop straight up.
As you extend, send your lead shoulder (the one toward your direction of travel) in the FS direction while at the same time tipping your head and chin back and up. Throwing the forward spin and the backward lean at the same time is the most important part of a rodeo. If they fall out of sync, it turns into a different trick
Once you leave the lip you can't add any more spin, so pull both knees to your chest, fold deep at the hips, and make yourself small.
The more compact you are, the faster you rotate on the same amount of spin. Hug your arms in front of your chest and don't flail them
Let your eyes flow from where you tipped your head (back and up) and ride with the rotation.
Mid-spin the landing surface (ground and the landing) sweeps across your view once, so catch that moment with your eyes
As you see the landing and approach the full 540 (one and a half turns), open your tucked knees and extend your body to brake the spin.
Open too early and you stall; too late and you over-rotate. Use the moment you spot the ground as your reference
Land switch (the opposite stance to your entry).
Line the board up straight with your direction of travel and grip the snow with your whole foot, between the ball of the foot and the heel. Keep your weight centered over the board, biased neither forward nor back
As you touch down, bend both knees and hips to sink and absorb the impact through your legs.
Keep your upper body tall and send your eyes down the run to ride away clean
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logThe rotation is a 'falling backward' motion blended diagonally with an 'FS spin.' The difference from a cork is that a rodeo is built on the backflip, with the FS spin added on top. So tip your head with the feeling of 'looking toward your toes while falling back and up' to set the axis
It turns into a plain backflip → the lead shoulder isn't being sent hard enough in the FS direction at takeoff → as you pop, drive the shoulder toward your direction of travel diagonally forward and lead the FS spin with your upper body
