半回転してボックスに乗る
How to
Step by stepApproach the box straight on at a slow, steady speed that keeps you moving without rushing.
Too much speed throws off your ollie timing, so start on the slow side.
During the approach, pre-wind your shoulders the opposite way from your spin to load up.
For frontside (spinning with your back turning toward your heel edge), twist your upper body slightly toward your back foot, the opposite way from the spin, and hold it there. Keep your hips and board pointing straight ahead so only the upper body is loaded. Keep your eyes on the entrance of the box.
Just before the entrance, sink down by bending both knees to about 50 to 60 degrees.
Load the balls of your feet and lightly press the tail to get ready to lift the nose.
On takeoff, release the wound-up upper body all at once while popping off the tail to ollie.
At the same moment, send your eyes toward the spin direction first. Your face and shoulders lead, then your hips, and the board follows last.
In the air, pull your front foot up to lift the whole board, then turn from the hips down to swing the board through a half rotation.
Finish the full 180 in the air and re-center your weight over a switch stance (your back foot now leading).
Land on the box in a switch 50-50.
Square your hips straight to the new direction of travel, weight even across both feet (50:50 front to back), and look ahead toward the exit of the box.
Ride the box switch, exit off the end still switch, and roll to a slow stop.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logLock in both regular and switch 50-50 before trying this. Once you land a 180-on you are riding switch, so if you cannot ride switch you will wash out every time.
Landing crooked at around 90 degrees → not enough upper-body wind-up on the approach, throwing only the arms at takeoff → twist your shoulders firmly the opposite way before the entrance and hold it, then release the upper body all at once on takeoff. Pull the front foot to your chest in the air to speed the spin.
