Frontside 180.
FS180
フロントサイドに半回転
How to
Step by stepRoll down a gentle slope at a steady, controllable medium pace, going almost straight with the board nearly flat.
Look ahead to where you want to land.
Just before lift-off, crouch by bending both knees fairly deep (around 110-120 degrees), keeping your weight centered over the arch of each foot so the whole board is pressed evenly.
At the same time, wind only your shoulder line back toward the tail by about 20-30 degrees and pull both arms lightly to that same side. Hold your hips and both feet still facing forward for now.
As you rise up and pop the ollie, snap that wound-up shoulder line all at once toward your front foot's toes (the frontside, the open side of your view).
Match the moment you extend your knees and unweight with the moment you swing the shoulders, and the board lifts lightly off the snow. The spin you create at lift-off is all you get, so build the full amount right here.
In the air, your hips follow your shoulders and your feet follow your hips.
Pull both knees up toward your chest to make your body compact, and you spin faster for the same amount of effort. Send your eyes first toward the new direction of travel and let your head lead the turn.
Just before you finish, stop the shoulder you swung to keep from over-rotating.
Once both feet have turned 180 degrees into switch, catch the snow flat, tilted to neither the toe nor the heel edge. On touchdown, bend both knees back to about 110 degrees to absorb the impact, shift a little weight onto your new front foot (your old back foot), and settle.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logWinding the shoulders back toward the tail (20-30 degrees) before take-off banks your rotation. Releasing that wind-up adds momentum, so you spin around earlier and more easily than trying to throw it after you leave the snow.
You don't quite finish 180 and come down angled → your pre-jump shoulder wind-up was shallow and you're trying to throw it around in the air → load 20-30 degrees of shoulder wind toward the tail before take-off, then snap it the instant you pop. Pull your knees in to make your body small in the air.
