BS Lipslide.

1. Approach at a shallow angle with the box on your back (heel) side, at a slow but steady speed that's just fast enough not to stall.

   A box on a gentle slope is best for learning.

2. Just before you reach the box, bend both knees deeply and pop a small ollie straight up.

   The goal is to lift the whole board slightly above the surface of the box; if it's airborne, it won't catch on the edge.

3. The instant you're in the air, turn your back (backside) shoulder open toward the downhill side.

   Leading with the shoulder lets your hips and board follow, so the board rotates about 90 degrees on its own. Your back-foot side crosses over the box to the far side as you land, which is what makes it a lipslide.

4. Land once the board is perpendicular to the box, with its length crossing the box.

   Center your weight between both feet and press the whole sole of each foot onto the box. Keep your knees softly bent in a low, settled stance for a stable slide.

5. While you're on the box, keep your face and eyes looking over your back shoulder at the exit of the box (where you'll come off).

   Locking your gaze on the exit keeps your upper body from continuing to turn, so you don't over-rotate.

6. As the end of the box approaches, turn your back shoulder back toward your direction of travel to straighten the board out, then ride off onto the snow.
