How to
Step by stepFirst lock in the basics: in continuous bouncing your body should rise straight up, and a tuck jump (knees to chest) should hold its shape all the way to the landing.
Always train this with a coach spotting you for safety.
Bounce a few times to find your rhythm, and one beat before takeoff swing both arms up above your head.
Pre-loading the arms up there gives you a longer downswing, which builds more forward-rotation drive.
At the moment of takeoff, press straight down into the bed through the balls of both feet (the pads behind your toes) and extend your knees and hips to jump straight up.
Don't dive forward first; getting height is your safety foundation (the higher you go, the more time you have to finish the flip).
In that same takeoff instant, snap both raised arms down toward your belly button, tuck your chin, and send your eyes to your own knees.
This arm snap plus the head dropping forward is what creates the forward spin. Rotation is set the instant you leave the bed and can't be added in the air.
Once you're airborne, pull both knees to your chest and grab your shins or thighs with both hands to ball up as small as possible.
The tighter you draw your arms and legs in, the faster the same drive spins you, so you can complete the full flip.
Partway through the flip, as your head points straight down, the ceiling (or the view above) flashes through your sight, and as you keep rotating the trampoline bed appears in front of you.
Seeing the bed is your cue that the flip is almost finished.
When the bed comes into view, release your hands, extend your knees and hips to drop both feet down, and land on the full sole of both feet.
Extending your legs makes your body bigger and brakes the spin, which stops you from over-rotating.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logRaising the arms before takeoff lengthens the downswing and boosts forward-rotation drive. Trying to flip with arms already low usually leaves you short on drive and stalling at the top.
No height and you pitch forward → at takeoff you dive your upper body forward instead of pressing straight down with your feet. Press the bed straight down through the balls of your feet, extend hips and knees, and jump up first, then rotate.
