Ski Pivot 180.
ピボット180
テールを軸に板を半回転
How to
Step by stepStart on a gentle slope, gliding straight on your heel edge at almost walking speed.
Too much speed makes the pivot foot catch and throws you off, so slow is your friend at first.
Keep your eyes downhill and load up your pivot foot.
For a tail pivot (rear foot), stack your hips directly over the rear foot; for a nose pivot (front foot), stack over the front foot, pressing flat through the ball and heel of that foot. Keep that knee softly bent and drive the pivot foot down so that end of the board bites the snow and becomes your turning point.
Lighten the other foot (the nose end for a tail pivot, the tail end for a nose pivot) by relaxing the weight off it and extending the ankle so that tip floats just off the snow.
You don't need to lift it fully, just light enough that the edge stops gripping.
Lead the spin with your hips and shoulders: turn them toward the direction you want to go before the board follows.
Open your arms slightly front and back and steer with your upper body, as if dragging the board around with your torso. Send your eyes to where you'll be heading in switch.
Once the board passes 90 degrees it carries its own momentum, so keep the pivot foot loaded, finish the rotation, then settle back to even weight on both feet and ride away switch.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logPut about 80 percent of your weight on the pivot foot and think "unload" on the other one. This gives the rotation a clear center and the board swings around cleanly; even weight makes the whole base grip and refuse to turn.
Board catches and stops mid-spin → the non-pivot edge is biting the snow → unload that foot and extend the ankle to float its tip a few centimeters off the surface.
