Indoor BS 180.

1. Get your indoor FS180 dialed in first.

   BS is scarier because the landing hides behind your back as you start to spin, so locking in FS first (where you can see the landing facing forward) takes the fear out of it.

2. Approach at a steady, moderate speed.

   Ride slightly on your toe edge and crouch with both knees bent about 30 to 40 degrees. Pre-wind your upper body a touch toward the direction of spin to load up the rotation.

3. As you pop off the lip, push off the snow through your back-foot heel to unweight, and pull your trailing shoulder (your left shoulder for a regular rider) hard behind you.

   Your hips and board follow the shoulder around. Leading with the shoulder lets your body carry you through even if your spin is a little short.

4. Send your eyes back over that pulled shoulder and hunt for the landing.

   Your spin speed is locked the instant you leave the lip and can't be added in the air, so tuck your arms and legs in close to spin faster on the same amount of rotation.

5. Land switch (riding backward) on the dry slope.

   Bend both knees softly to absorb the impact and point your belly button toward the new direction of travel (your original back foot now leads).

6. After landing, weight both feet evenly and scrub speed with a gentle slide on your heel edge.
