How to
Step by stepGet a solid indoor 50-50 (riding straight along the feature) first.
You need to already feel comfortable balancing on the box, otherwise you won't be able to bring the board all the way around.
Approach the feature at a slight angle, at a slow but steady speed that won't stall you.
Look at where you'll exit (the landing), not the near edge of the feature. Staring at the entry stalls your body and stops the board from turning.
Just before the feature, pop a small ollie to get on.
Bend the knees to load, then extend, lifting the nose (front) slightly ahead of the tail (back) until the base of the board clears the metal surface.
As you get on, turn your upper body (shoulders and face) toward the direction of travel first, twisting the board 90 degrees so it sits crosswise.
Let your hips follow the shoulders a beat late and the board lands square sideways. Try to spin the lower body first and it won't come around fully.
Ride with the center of the base on the feature.
Keep weight even between front foot and back foot, set under the arch of your foot (between the ball and the heel). Stack your hips directly over the feature and don't lean to the toe (toe-side) or heel (heel-side) edge. Any lean and the base slips off and you drop.
Just before the exit, bring your upper body back to the original direction of travel and untwist the board 90 degrees so it points straight again.
Land on the artificial snow with knees bent deep to absorb the impact. Artificial snow is firm, so if your legs are straight on contact it will buck you.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logIndoors the snow, pitch, and temperature are identical every run, so it's easy to drill your approach speed and pop timing into your body. A setting where the same input gives the same result is ideal for calibrating how much to turn and how much to load.
The board doesn't come fully crosswise (you ride on at an angle) → You're trying to spin with the lower body only and the upper body lags → Aim shoulders and face down the feature before you get on, then let the hips catch up to the shoulders.
