How to
Step by stepApproach the box or rail straight on from the front.
Indoor slopes are gentle, so keep a slow, steady speed (just enough not to stall). Line up your board's direction with the center line of the feature, and look at the far end of the box before you get on (placing your eyes ahead keeps your body tracking straight).
About 1-2 m before the feature, bend both knees slightly to sink down.
You don't need to drop to 90 degrees, just soften them. This loads you to rise up for the next step.
At the lip of the feature, gently extend your knees and ankles to lift the nose of the board.
No hard pop is needed, just unweight enough to clear the small step up. Extend right as the middle of the board (between your feet) reaches the lip.
Once on, keep the base of the board flat against the box surface, tilted neither toward your toes nor your heels.
Center your weight between both feet and stack your hips directly over the box. Leaning forward or sitting back tips the board onto an edge, which catches and spins you off.
While sliding, lock your eyes on the far end and keep your upper body squared to your direction of travel.
Hold your arms out at shoulder height to damp side-to-side wobble. Keep your knees softly bent so they can absorb bumps.
As the end of the feature approaches, ride straight off while staying flat.
As you come off, bend both knees to absorb the small drop. Indoor man-made snow is often coarse and firmly packed, so land on the whole base of the board rather than slamming onto your heels, and let both knees soak up the impact.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logThe flatter you keep the base against the box, the more stable you are. Any tilt toward your toes or heels lets that edge catch the box and turns the board off line. Keeping your hips stacked over the board helps most.
The board turns sideways on the box and slides off → you're tilted onto your toe or heel edge and it's catching the box → re-stack your hips over the board and press the whole base down evenly to stay flat.
