Frontside Nose Slide.
FSノーズスライド
フロントサイド方向にノーズを押し付けてスライド
How to
Step by stepOn a gentle slope, point straight down the fall line and start a little faster than walking pace.
Too much speed and you can't stop if the nose catches.
Bend your front knee and shift your weight forward, loading about 70 percent onto the nose.
Keep your hips stacked over your front foot instead of dropping your butt back. This lightens the tail so the board can pivot around the nose.
Keeping that nose pressure, lead with your rear shoulder and send it toward the toe side.
Turn your upper body first so your chest faces the toe direction, and move your eyes to where you want to go (the downhill side). Your body follows your gaze.
Once your upper body has set the direction, let your hips chase the same toe-side direction.
With your weight still stacked over the front foot, the lightened tail slides out and the board starts to pivot on the nose.
Use the ball of your front foot (under the big toe) to keep only a thin edge engaged, sliding the board nearly flat.
Too much edge digs the nose into the snow and pitches you forward. About 45 degrees of rotation is plenty.
To recover, lead with your upper body back to center, let the hips follow, then bring your weight back to center last.
If your weight stays only on the front foot you'll stall, so re-balance evenly on both feet to return to a straight run.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logBuild it after you can hold a nose press for about five seconds without breaking the pose. Drilling the front-foot load and balance first lets you focus only on the sideways pivot.
The board keeps running straight instead of going sideways → not enough upper-body rotation, so the turn never reaches the hips. Drive your rear shoulder and chest toward the toe side, set your eyes downhill first, then let the hips chase.
