How to
Step by stepDrop in straight at the rail, square and parallel to its centerline.
Coming in at an angle slides you off toward the toe edge or heel edge the instant you land on it. Keep your approach slow and steady, just enough not to stall, and look at the exit (far end) of the rail.
Pop a small ollie just before the rail.
Don't fully straighten either leg; match your height and position so the middle of the board (between your feet, along the sole's centerline) lands on the spine of the rail. Pressing toward your toes tilts the board, so keep your ankles neutral, not rolled to either side.
Once on, weight both feet evenly and ride the rail's spine along a single line down the center of your base.
Your support is a thin line running directly under your feet, so you stay balanced front-to-back, but any weight shifted left or right tips you that way. Keep your weight stacked right over the board, centered between both feet.
Bend both knees to about 60-70 degrees and keep your hips (pelvis) low and stacked over the board.
A low stance gives you room to recover if you start to tip; standing tall lets a tiny wobble take you down. Hold both arms slightly below shoulder height, opened a little to each side (not for big swings, but to nudge the opposite way and recenter if you lean).
As the exit nears, send your front foot slightly forward so the nose half of the board leaves first, gently extending both knees and dropping straight ahead.
Keep looking past the exit to the snow, and land flat with even weight on both feet.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logAim to run the sole's centerline along the spine of the rail. With your support directly under your feet, the force trying to tip you sideways is smallest, so a small wobble is easy to hold.
An edge catches and you fall → you're pressing toward the toe side or heel side and the board is tilted → keep your ankles neutral and the board flat, pressing the sole evenly onto the rail.
