Ski Cork 540.
コーク540
スキーでの斜め軸1回転半
How to
Step by stepApproach a medium-to-large kicker (table 7m or longer) at a steady medium speed that carries you past the landing.
Slowing down near the lip kills the takeoff and you can't get into a tilted spin. Keep slight pressure toward your toes and ride both skis flat and straight in.
Just before the lip, load up by bending your hips and knees deep (sink to about a 90-degree knee bend), then snap both legs up off the lip.
As you do, tip slightly onto your back and let your upper body lead toward your front side (your left, for a frontside rotation). You build up, back, and around all in that single instant of takeoff.
Once airborne, drive your left shoulder down and back while your right shoulder comes up and forward.
That sets the body spinning on a tilted, leaning axis. All your spin is set the moment you leave the lip and you can't add any in the air, so commit fully on takeoff.
Look first over your left shoulder to the sky behind you, and keep your eyes hunting for the landing even through the upside-down part.
Just refusing to shut your eyes or look down keeps you from losing track of where you are mid-spin.
While your head passes underneath, pull both knees to your chest and lift the tails of your skis to make yourself small.
The tighter you tuck your arms and legs in, the faster you rotate for the same amount of spin. Skis are heavy, so a loose tuck won't carry you all the way around.
When you've come around 360 degrees and the landing appears in front of you, release the tuck and push your legs slightly forward.
Finish the last 180 degrees while standing the body up, and meet the snow either switch (riding backward) or facing forward.
On contact, bend hips, knees, and ankles together to absorb the hit.
Line both skis up with your direction of travel and land flat, between toe and heel edge, so an edge doesn't catch and you ride it out.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logA cork 540 fuses a backflip with a frontside 360 onto one axis that is neither straight vertical nor straight horizontal but tilted over. You need both pieces solid on their own first: the backflip for a safe inverted shape, the 360 for the horizontal spin.
You lose track of the spin axis → you're firing the flip lean and the spin twist as two separate moves. Combine them into one motion at the lip: drive the left shoulder down and back so the direction you tip and the direction you spin match.
