BS Lipslide (Rail).

1. Approach the rail at a shallow angle, set up to turn the board toward your backside.

   Keep a steady speed, just fast enough not to stall, with both knees softly bent and your weight centered over the middle of the board.

2. Ollie just before the rail.

   Pop off the tail with your back foot and jump a touch higher than the rail. If you go too low the base of the board catches the rail, so prioritize enough height to clear it completely.

3. Right after you leave the snow, turn your shoulders and hips 90 degrees toward your backside so the board goes sideways.

   Send the board to the far side of the rail and let your body cross over the rail to the other side first. This is the key difference from a boardslide: a boardslide is loaded from the near side, while a lipslide crosses over the rail before locking on.

4. Land with the middle of the board (between your front and back foot, right between the bindings) on the rail.

   Bend both knees to 70 to 80 degrees to absorb the impact and stack your hips directly over the rail. If your weight drifts forward or back, you'll slide off the instant you start moving.

5. While sliding, lock your eyes on the end of the rail (the exit direction) and keep your shoulder line parallel to the direction of travel.

   Stay balanced between the ball of your foot and your heel so you don't lean onto the toe edge or the heel edge.

6. As the end of the rail nears, send your hips toward the exit, rotate your shoulders and the board back to nose-forward, then extend both knees and pop off the end as if ollie-ing down.

   Lead the rotation back with your front foot so the board comes around cleanly and you land balanced.
