ウォータージャンプでFS540
How to
Step by stepRide down the artificial brush (plastic sliding surface) toward the water at a steady, moderate speed, fast enough not to stall.
You should already land FS360 reliably over water. Keep your eyes out past the lip (the take-off edge), still facing forward, not down at the water yet.
Just before the lip, load both knees lightly, then drive off the toe edge into the brush and extend straight up to pop.
The amount of spin is set at the instant you leave, so you can't add to it in the air. As you pop, send your head, chest, and your front-foot-side shoulder around frontside (turning your back into the spin) first, to wind up plenty of rotation.
Once you're off, wrap both arms across your chest and pull both knees toward your body to make yourself small.
The tighter you tuck, the faster you spin on the same wind-up, which buys you time to finish the 540 (one and a half rotations). Look over your leading shoulder and pick up your landing zone in stages as you come around.
Just past one full rotation (360), glance once at the water to spot your landing while staying tucked.
You have a half rotation (180) left. To avoid over-rotating, start easing your arms open a little here so the spin slows gently.
Because it's one and a half turns, you land feet-first in switch, facing the opposite way from take-off.
Just before touchdown, keep both knees soft rather than locked, and bring the whole base of the board close to parallel with the water. As you enter, draw your navel in slightly to brace your core so you don't slap down on your belly or back.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logThe amount of spin is set in the instant you leave the lip, so don't panic and try to crank it in the air. Focus on the upward extension off the lip and leading with your shoulder. All you can do in the air is tighten or loosen the tuck
Not enough height to come all the way around → your extension off the lip leaks sideways or forward instead of popping straight up, or your tuck is loose and the spin is slow. Combine extending straight up off the toe edge with a firm pull of both arms and both knees
