How to

Step by step
  1. Stand in the center of the trampoline and do a few straight, tall basic jumps, landing on the same spot each time.

Without this "jump straight up, land straight down" base, you will drift sideways during the 360.

  2. As you extend out of the loaded, sunk position and leave the bed, swing both arms and your upper body a little ahead in the direction you want to spin.

The spin you create at takeoff is all you get — you cannot add to it in the air. Wind the arms across the chest at about chest height.

  3. At the same time, send your eyes ahead in the direction you want to turn.

The rotation passes from head to shoulders to hips to legs, so your gaze starts the spin. Keep your axis straight and vertical — do not lean.

  4. As you near the top of the jump, fold both knees from the hips and pull your thighs toward your chest, hugging your arms in front of your body too.

The more compactly you tuck your arms and legs, the faster you turn for the same amount of spin — this is how you finish the rotation.

  5. Once you pass 180 degrees (facing fully backward) and reach about 270 degrees, when the center of the trampoline comes into view, slowly open your tucked knees and arms and lengthen your body.

Spreading your limbs slows the spin and prevents over-rotating.

  6. After completing the full 360, land on the whole sole (from arch to ball of the foot) in the center and bend your knees to absorb the impact.

Returning your gaze straight down to the trampoline bed just before landing stops the spin and steadies your stance.

Tips & common mistakes

Tips

Create the turning force at takeoff, with the arm swing and upper-body wind giving it its start, then adjust speed by pulling your limbs in or extending them in the air. Forcing the arms once airborne does not add spin — it just tilts your axis and makes you drift.

COMMON MISTAKE

Landing drifts to the edge of the trampoline → you leaned your upper body to start the turn, tilting the axis and throwing yourself sideways. Wind the arms level, keep your head over the center, and focus on jumping straight up.
