Ski Brush Basic Turn.
ブラシ基本ターン
スキーでのブラシ面ターン
How to
Step by stepAt the top of the brush slope, stand with your skis about shoulder-width apart.
Soften your ankles, knees, and hips, and press your shins lightly into the front of the boots (the tongues) so your weight sits right over your arches. Not sitting back is especially important on brush.
Look down the slope ahead of you.
Looking at your feet tips your upper body forward and pulls you into the backseat, so keep your eyes 2-3 meters out in front.
To start a turn, gradually shift your weight onto the ski that is about to be the outside ski (for a right turn, the left ski), rolling pressure from the ball of the foot toward the heel.
The inside foot just goes along for the ride - aim for about 70 percent on the outside ski, 30 percent on the inside.
As you load the outside ski, gently tip both knees toward the inside of the turn so the skis roll slightly downhill.
Brush grabs more than snow, so set the edges less than half as much as you would on snow - start almost flat. A wedge (snowplow) with pressure on the outside ski is perfectly fine at first.
In the second half of the arc, keep pressing your shins into the boots and bring both skis back to flat, with your body centered.
This is your transition point into the next turn.
Once you pass through center, make the other ski your new outside ski and repeat steps 3-4.
Keep your hips and chest facing down the fall line the whole time.
Make 4-6 turns down to the bottom in a steady rhythm.
Don't chase speed - focus on feeling the outside ski under you and on not over-edging.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logKeep pressing your shins into the boot tongues so your weight stays over the balls of your feet. Brush drags you backward, and shin pressure is what keeps you from falling into the backseat - it's about position, not muscling forward.
You catch an edge and fall → you're tipping the skis as much as you would on snow → cut the edge angle to under half, start almost flat, and feel for the smallest angle that still turns you.
