Brush Boardslide.

1. Try this only once your 50-50 (riding a feature with the board pointing straight) is solid.

   Approach the feature at about a 30-degree angle, at a slow speed that still keeps you moving. Coming in at an angle makes it easier to line the board up across the feature once you turn it 90 degrees.

2. Just before the feature, do a small ollie.

   Press the tail (back foot) into the snow for pop, and as it rebounds, lift both knees to bring the board up. You don't need much air, just enough to free the base for a moment.

3. The instant you're airborne, turn your front-foot shoulder and hip toward your direction of travel first.

   Your lower body follows, bringing the board across so it sits 90 degrees sideways on the feature.

4. As you touch down, bend both knees well to absorb the landing.

   Keep your weight centered between your feet, directly over the middle of the board. Drifting forward or back makes the board keep spinning or stall, so keep your belly button stacked over the board's center.

5. While sliding, keep the whole base flat against the feature, tipping neither toward the toe edge nor the heel edge.

   Any tilt digs an edge in and stops you suddenly, throwing you forward or back. Look toward the end of the feature where you'll exit, and keep your shoulders locked sideways.

6. As the end of the feature nears, turn your front-foot shoulder and hip back toward your original direction of travel, bringing the board back in line with your path.

7. Once the board is parallel with your direction again, land on the brush.

   Stay in your bent-knee stance and land on the whole sole of each foot, from the ball to the heel, for stability.
