How to
Step by stepTry this only once your boardslide (riding the feature with the board sideways) is solid.
Approach so the feature crosses in front of your body relative to your direction of travel. Roll in at a slow, controlled pace, knees lightly bent, eyes on the near corner of the feature.
About two to three meters out, bend your front knee and ankle deeply to crouch, pressing the whole board into the surface to load spring.
Keep your back tall, not rounded, and your hips square to your direction of travel.
As you reach the feature, extend that loaded front leg to pop upward while lifting the back foot slightly.
At the moment you leave the ground, turn your shoulders and hips about 90 degrees ahead toward your direction of travel; the board follows and rotates 90 degrees a beat later. Open the shoulders, then stop them so you do not over-rotate.
As the board comes sideways onto the feature, set both feet down at the same instant and drop your weight onto the center of the board (midway between front and back foot).
Stack your spine tall and keep your head directly over the feature so you do not tip to either side. Shift your eyes to the exit corner.
On the feature, keep your knees softly bent and ride flat on the full sole of both feet, leaning neither toe side nor heel side.
If your weight drifts onto the front or back foot the board runs off at an angle and slips off, so keep your navel stacked right over the center of the board.
As the end corner nears, turn your shoulders and hips back toward your direction of travel; that rotation swings the board 90 degrees back so the nose points downhill.
Extend your knees lightly to unweight and land both feet together on the brush. Absorb the landing with bent knees and send your eyes toward the next line.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logThe order on entry is shoulders and hips first, board second. If you try to spin the board with just your arms or feet, your body lags and your axis wobbles; set the upper-body direction first and the board follows.
The board snags short of the feature and you cannot get over it → your front-leg pop is late, so the crouch never converts into upward spring. Load two to three meters out and extend the front leg upward exactly as you cross the feature.
