Airmat Ollie.
エアマットオーリー
エアマット上でオーリーの感覚を掴む
How to
Step by stepRoll toward the airmat at a slow, controlled speed.
Keep both knees slightly bent (around 150 degrees) and fix your eyes on the takeoff lip of the mat.
Just before the lip, shift your weight onto your back foot and bend deeper (aim for 120 to 90 degrees at both knees).
Drop your hips and load your weight slightly toward the tail (back). This loads the spring you are about to release.
Pop off your back foot first.
Snap your back knee straight, then drive your toes downward (extend the ankle) to press the tail into the mat. That ankle snap slaps the tail down, and the rebound lifts the nose (front).
The instant you feel the nose lift, pull your front knee up toward your chest.
Lifting the front foot lets the tail chase up behind it, raising the whole board under you. Back foot first, then front foot with a slight delay, that gap is what makes it an ollie rather than a plain jump.
In the air, pull both knees up to tuck the board close to your body and keep your eyes forward.
The more you tuck, the longer you float and the more level the board sits.
Land on your back onto the airmat, taking the impact across your whole back.
Because you do not have to land on your feet like on snow, you can put all your focus into the timing of the pop.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logPress the tail not just by straightening the knee but by finishing with an ankle snap that kicks the toes down. Adding the ankle makes the press into the board sharper, and that rebound pops the nose higher.
Both feet leave at once and it is not an ollie → you are popping the back foot and lifting the front foot at the same time. Fix: stomp the tail down with only the back foot first, then pull the front foot up a beat later. Say it out loud in two counts, 'thump, then up.'
