Skid Turn.
基本ターン
板をずらしながら曲がる基本のターン
How to
Step by stepOn a gentle slope, stand with the board across the fall line (straight sideways to the slope) and both knees softly bent.
Keep your back straight, treat the line from head to hips as a single axis, and hold that axis perpendicular to the slope. Look down the slope where you are about to ride.
Gradually shift your weight onto your toes (the balls of both feet) to start a frontside turn.
Send both knees toward the downhill side so the board tips onto its toe edge and the edge bites into the snow. Don't just lean your upper body. Move your ankles, knees, and hips together toward the downhill side.
Send your eyes ahead toward where you want to go (the exit of the turn).
The board follows where your face and chest point. Rather than kicking only with the back foot, press the snow through the front foot's ball so the front half of the board carves a clean arc.
Once the board passes the fall line (pointing straight downhill), flatten both feet for a moment to release the pressure and reset your axis straight up from the snow.
This brief neutral moment lets you switch safely from the toe edge to the heel edge.
Now shift your weight onto your heels (the heels of both feet) and bend your knees as if lifting your toes slightly.
The heel edge engages and you enter a backside turn. Don't drop only your hips back. Sit down from the hip joints so your weight stays right over both feet.
Repeat steps 2 to 5, alternating left and right, to draw a continuous S.
Rise slightly to unweight at the top of each turn (as you cross the fall line) and bend your knees to sink as you head downhill. This up-and-down rhythm links the turns smoothly.
Tips & common mistakes
In the app — learn while you logCarry a little more weight on the front foot (the foot toward the board's nose). With weight forward, the front half of the board grips first and the arc starts from the nose, so each turn begins earlier and more stably.
Sinking back with your hips dropped behind you → out of fear you pull only your hips back, your weight loads the back foot, the front foot lightens, and the front half of the board stops working. → Sit straight down from the hip joints and press the snow with the front foot's ball, and your weight returns over both feet.
